Neuropsychological evaluations focus on the assessment and treatment planning of a wide spectrum of neurological, neurodevelopment, and psychological conditions that can negatively
impact an individual’s life at different developmental stages. A comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation involves gathering information from an individual’s background, behavioral observations, and neuropsychological tests to understand a person’s unique development to clarify diagnosis and plan treatment. At River Valley, comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations are provided to adolescents and adults with a range of neurocognitive and neuropsychiatric conditions, including:
- Concussion/mild Traumatic Brain Injury
- Moderate to Severe Traumatic Brain Injury
- Stroke
- Epilepsy
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Movement Disorders (Parkinson’s Disease)
- Dementia (Alzheimer’s disease, Vascular Dementia, Lewy Body Dementia, Frontotemporal Dementia, etc.)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
- Learning disabilities
Evaluations are offered in both English and in Spanish and are designed to help the referring doctor, patient and patient’s family better understand his or her condition. If you have any
questions as to whether or not a referral might be appropriate, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss the case at 860-234-5002 or by email at info@rivervalleyneuropsychology.com.
